Do you want to challenge and inspire our industry to Change for the Better?
Does your agency want to influence and inspire new thinking in our industry so we can continue to ‘Change for the Better’?
Are you a future leader with less than 15 years' experience who wants to showcase your talents and inspire our industry?
If the answer is YES to either question, then don't waste time - we want to hear your content ideas for MFA EX, reflecting current, emerging and future industry topics and trends. Tackling the theme of ‘Change for the Better’, we’re seeking content that will educate and inspire the industry to continue to ‘Change for the Better’ across three key areas:
1. bettering our product and craft
2. bettering our people
3. bettering the society and environment
The theme is a natural extension of the industry purpose of We Are The Changers.
Don't miss your chance - MFA EX content submission deadline is 28 March.
Need a little extra motivation to get your thinking caps on? Here are some tips and lessons from three speakers who successfully challenged, informed and entertained audiences at MFA EX 2023:
Mim Haysom, Executive General Manager Brand & Marketing, Suncorp Group – Customer, a catalyst for creativity
MFA EX is a great opportunity for our industry’s talent, particularly those newer to the industry, to network and connect with other industry professionals, and to learn and be inspired by a range of thought leaders, including clients, creative agencies, and media leaders. For those considering presenting, like all good communicators, think about your audience and why they are attending, and create content that will inspire and provoke them to think in new and different ways about the future of media and customer connections, and the role they can play in it.
Brad Szmerling, Associate Investment Director Media, CHEP Network – What can we learn from Ginger Spice leaving the Spice Girls?
The key to nailing a presentation at MFA EX is passion! The audience is waiting to be inspired, so if you’re genuinely inspired by your topic, they’ll be hanging off your every word. We’ve all been to too many presentations where the opposite has been true, so it’s refreshing to care about your subject matter! It’s equally important to have fun during your presentation. We’re not saving lives, so enjoy the moment and back yourself. If you do stumble, just take a break and jump right back into it. The crowd will forgive you if you’re having a good time!
Laura Nice, Co-CEO, OMD Australia – AI vs EQ: The grudge battle between algorithms and media planners
It all starts with selecting a topic that is interesting and topical to most people. We went with AI as it’s something everyone is talking about, writing about and looking to understand. To ensure that everyone from assistants to CEOs can understand your content, cut the jargon! Make your content relatable so the audience have real and tangible takeaways they can apply to their work and their clients’ businesses. We chose a live OMD client case study to bring our content to life. And most importantly, make it fun and engaging! Bring theatre, energy and look for ways you can make your session interactive with the audience.
MFA EX is a day where the media agency industry stops - to educate, challenge, and inspire each and every one of us to drive an effectiveness culture in everything we do. It’s not just about what we do, but why and how we do it. This year MFA EX is gearing up for greater impact at new, bigger venues, able to accommodate larger audiences following previous years’ sell-out events resulting in standing room only for many of the 2,500-plus attendees.
