Digital Account Manager

What is your key role?:

Manage the development of digital strategy and ensuring it compliments overarching media strategy.

How did you get into that role?:

At high school I always wanted to get into the advertising industry and be at the forefront of Australia’s creative industry. From University I entered the industry through the MFA graduate program, specilising as a digital analyst. After 2 years I’ve progressed to Digital Account Manager.

What are your main responsibilities?:

Ensuring that role of Digital is clearly identified across all campaigns. Developing strategy and insight in-line with the other media channels. Managing a team of planners and digital analyst to ensure all campaigns achieve their planning objectives. Ensure team effectively manage client expectations and find unique media first ideas for the industry.

What has been the most inspiring moment in the industry so far?:

Being part of a great pitch team, presenting and winning B&T employee of the Year 2008.

Most challenging task?:

Educating those reluctant to accept change in the market place and in media strategy.

What do you enjoy most about your role?:

No two days are ever the same. Working in the digital environments keeps you on the toes all the time and you’re always discovering something new.
